EU wants to ban plasma TVs
MYTH!
The EU has adopted minimum standards for the energy efficiency of televisions, including plasma TV screens, not a ban. A TV energy-labelling scheme is planned for 2010, using the well known A-G classes which already exist for products like washing machines and fridges. This will allow the public to make informed choices about their common household appliances.
