The MOLPARK project (Molecular mechanisms of neuronal restoration: novel approaches for Parkinson’s disease) aims to define the basic cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the generation and survival of nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurons, which cause Parkinson’s disease. The hope is then to translate this knowledge into radically new therapeutic strategies.

MOLPARK brings together two industrial partners and six academic groups. The success of the project relies on this unique knowledge platform with state of the art technology and recent relevant developments in their laboratories.
