Named the ‘CatStrand’, this project created a new and exciting performance and meeting space in the heart of the Glenkens community.

Originally beginning life in 1974 as Kells Primary School, the building underwent a variety of incarnations before becoming vacant in the1990′s and falling into a state of disrepair.

Now the centre is home to a cinema, café, up-to date conference and training facilities and a local information service. It also runs a varied arts, events and exhibitions programme and IT and exercise classes. As such, the centre now finds itself as a focal point for both younger and older members of the Glenkens community.
