BioCity Nottingham is one of Europe’s largest bioscience incubators. Launched in 2003, the 129,000 sq ft award-winning site currently hosts 60 companies and nearly 500 employees. BioCity provides business support, finance and laboratory, and office facilities to high potential bioscience, pharmaceutical, med tech and healthcare companies.

The purpose of BioCity Nottingham is to provide a home for developing biotechnology and healthcare companies, with accommodation that is able to respond to a company’s requirements by offering small highly flexible laboratory and office units, and grow-on space. It is able to cater for companies from 1 to about 80 employees. The aim is to showcase Nottingham as a hub for research and science.

BioCity is a success story of partnership and co-operation and is the result of an effective collaboration between Nottingham Trent University, The University of Nottingham and the East Midlands Development Agency. BioCity has also received funding support from DTI, ERDF and Greater Nottingham Partnership.
